3 Bedrooms 1 Bathroom 1 Reception room 1 Miles Private parking to the front of the property

2 Dunstan Square Cottage is a three bedroom, 1076 sq ft traditional stone built property which dates back to the 1800s and is set amongst a row of five other cottages. The cottage has been finished to a high standard, resulting in a down to earth, calm, welcoming and functional home. Ideal as a main residence or could easily lend itself to a popular holiday let, given the location and ‘ready to move into’ condition.

Surrounded by open countryside and just a stone’s throw to the sea and stunning sandy beaches of the Northumberland Heritage Coastline, with mile upon mile of gloriously uncrowded golden sandy beaches flanked by dunes and stunning countryside, set amongst two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the rugged Northumberland National Park.

What’s inside 2 Dunstan Square Cottage?

The property is approached via a pretty tree lined driveway and is nestled by the farmhouse in a row of six cottages. There is ample parking to the front of the property.

The main entrance door at the front of the cottage takes you into the porch.

Entrance porch:

A wonderfully light porch that is perfect for brushing off the sand after a stroll on the nearby beach. Plentiful room to hang up coats and jackets and keep your outdoor shoes neatly stored away. Laminate flooring.

Entrance Hall:

From the entrance hall you have access to the first floor and the kitchen/diner. Laminate flooring in the hall.

A wonderfully light and spacious, dual aspect kitchen with dining area to the front elevation. The room benefits from having lovely views over the shared garden at the front of the property and across over the surrounding countryside. The kitchen has been fitted with a good range of cream coloured wall and base cupboards with lighting to the bottom of the cupboards. Granite worktops complete the look of this contemporary kitchen. There are some lovely teal coloured subway tiles too. You will find an integrated electric cooker and oven with extractor hood above, dishwasher and inset white ceramic sink. The room has space for a large table and chairs making it a perfect space for gathering friends and family. An extra floor to ceiling fitted cupboard is great for extra storage space. One CH radiator and laminate flooring.

A door from the kitchen takes you to the rear hallway.

Rear Hallway:

There is an under stair storage cupboard as well as a further floor to ceiling storage cupboard housing the combi boiler, washing machine and tumble dryer. This hallway also provides access to the outside space to the rear of the property. Laminate flooring and a CH radiator.

From the rear hallway you have access to:

A perfect room to cosy up on the sofa after a day of strolling along the stunning Northumbrian coastline. This room is dual aspect and is to the front elevation and so enjoys views over the shared lawn garden and surrounding countryside. One CH radiator and fitted carpet.

Family Bathroom:

A very generously sized family bathroom to the rear elevation that has been fully tiled to the walls and floor. The bathroom has a white ceramic four piece suite incorporating a bath with shower mixer tap, a separate shower enclosure with electric shower, a WC and a wash hand basin with chrome fittings and large vanity unit below to provide plenty of storage. There is also a large, heated, chrome ladder style towel radiator and the bathroom benefits from having underfloor heating. A large frosted window makes the room pleasantly naturally light.

Staircase from entrance hall to first floor:

Staircase and hallway are fitted with carpet and there is a CH radiator at the top of the stairs.

Master Bedroom:

A very light and charming master bedroom to the front elevation with a window that overlooks the shared lawn garden and the surrounding rolling fields and coastline in the distance. One CH radiator and fitted carpet.

Bedroom 2:

Another very spacious bedroom to the front elevation and so again it has wonderful views of the countryside that surrounds the cottage. Due to the bedroom being dual aspect it has a lot of natural light pouring through though the windows. One CH radiator and fitted carpet.

Bedroom 3:

A further pleasant double bedroom to the rear elevation. The large window provides plentiful natural light. One CH radiator and fitted carpet.

What’s outside 2 Dunstan Square Cottage?

Externally each property has its own garden, which is open creating a wonderful large garden space in front of the cottage with stunning views over the surrounding fields and coast in the distance. To the rear you will find a storage outbuilding that is perfect for housing gardening tools, bicycles and other outdoors equipment.

What Propology love about 2 Dunstan Square Cottage and Dunstan:

We love this charming, cosy and romantic Northumbrian cottage with all of the fabulous views that come along with it. The cottage is an extremely popular holiday home and would continue to be that or could make a wonderful main home for someone where you would feel like you were on a permanent coastal holiday. We love the way the current owners have brought this cottage into the modern day with the new kitchen, bathroom and other fixtures and fittings.

The cottage is positioned in a prime spot for visiting Dunstanburgh castle, Embleton, Craster and Newton by the Sea, and the beautiful beaches there. The Jolly fisherman pub and Craster village is ten minutes walk to the South along the coastal path known as St Oswalds way and The Ship Inn at Newton by the Sea is a forty minute walk North along Embleton and Newton beach.

Dunstanburgh links golf course runs within 20 minutes walk of the cottage and Embleton village with its amenities is 30 minutes inland and to the North. The beautiful and unusual Howick gardens are a five minute drive away and Alnwick is a further 10 minute drive. Alnmouth station is just a 15 minute drive away.
